%20 URL Issue - 21.Apr.2006 8:47:04 PM

I have a web site that I can get to "outside" our ISA 2004 server (SP2) but can not get to from the "inside". What I have noticed is that when I click on a tabbed link on the web page, a %20 gets inserted in the url and I then get the following error message: Error Code 11001: Host not found. The link looks like this: http://%20checkpoint.riag.com. If I remove the %20, all is good.

I have detemined that ISA is doing this because it does not happen if I go outside the filewall or access the site from home.  Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Kevin

There have been reports of 3rd party add-ons doing this to the URL - do you have any 3rd party add-ins installed on ISA?

The problem is coming from SP2. I had the same problem. There is a patch for the SP2 download and install that and the problem will be solved. Check this forum for the patch link.

I wouldn't hang my hat on SP2 being the problem.

This problem has been reported on this newsgroup prior to SP2 launching.

I don't use Surfcontrol, and I had that problem. After installing the patch the problem was solved. How is that possible than?

You would be the only one that I have seen on this newsgroup that has that problem without Surf Control.

It's not impossible, but not common, so we're siding with Surf Control being the issue in this persons case.

Impossible to even speculate - you've provided no details of the original problem other than a brief description so it would all be supposition.

Clint,
Before you dig your heels in too hard and end up eating crow, you may want to have a look at this thread.

Interesting.

Like I said before - it's not impossible, but not common. I certainly haven't run into it on the (now) 16 ISA 2004 installs I personally manage.
