Dear All,

We've got the following message from ISA2004 SP2:
Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The ISA Server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). (12202) IP Address: 172.16.x.x Date: 15-2-2008 7:09:58 Server: server name Source: proxyIn my PC user's setting for internet access is always tick "automatically detect setting" option in internet option -> connection -> lan setting and specify proxy server and port.Whereas all users should have access through proxy 172.30.x.x
I try to untick "automatically detect setting" option and all users can access normally.
Why did the problem occurs ? Can any body help me please ?

Hi,

Sounds like you have enabled the " Require all users to authenticate" on the Web Proxy! You should not use that option. Force authentication through your access rules.

Hi,

thnx for your response, how can i check whether using web proxy or not ?
sorry, i wasn't familiar with isa 2004 yet ...

There were lots of 502 errors with SP2, there is Service Pack 3 for ISA Server 2004 !! Install it.
