Hello all,

This is the first issue I have had to sort with regards to ISA so I am a total beginner.
Basically we have an application that runs on a desktop (192.168.1.13) within our network but in trying to connect to another server on the network, the application returns the error: "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required." in line 565.

We run WebSense web proxy server on the network but I couldnt imagine why that would be blocking it so I can only assume its the ISA server (06 - 5.0.5720.157). I have checked the logs and found the following:

Dest IP 192.168.1.255
Dest Port - 3000
Protocol - Unidentified IP traffic
Action - Denied connection
Rule - Default rule
client - 192.168.1.13
Source -Internet
Destination - Local network

Is there anyway to add the above as a rule so I can see if its this log entry being blocked which is causing the workstation app to fail when connecting.

Hi,

The log entry is not related to your issue. What you need to do is get the desktop app to bypass the proxy server. Could you confirm how the app is trying to connect? I.e http://[servername] or http://[ipadress] http://[fqdm] and how its browser is configured?
