I have followed the instructions in Tom's ISA 2000 book to the letter...i think they are the same as on this site.
I am trying to publish a site from an internal web server through the ISA server to the internet. When i use server publishing it works straight away, but that doesn't allow for multiple webservers....so i have to use web publishing. I keep getting "10061 - Connection refused Internet Security and Acceleration Server" in my browser.

Details as follows

Destination set-
1.name = www.url.com.au
2.description = www.url.com.au
3.destinations = www.url.com.au

Web Publish rule
1. Name = Name
2. Rule applies to = Destination set (listed above)
3. Redirect to = 192.168.X.X (send header is checked & Ports are left standard)
4. Bridging left standard
5. Applies to any request

I have a listener setup on external nic of the ISA server, configured for HTTP on port 80. I have set up the HTTP headers on the webserver on the IP that the web publishing rule points to. I have also set the gateway for the webserver as the ISA server. I put a protocol analyser on my webserver and nothing is even getting to it. "[Mad]" As far as i can follow this is all i have to do...but i keep getting that damn error. I am at a total loss as to why it doesn't work. I have followed the instructions...what have i missed?

I figured out the answer. I dare say that it was a bug in ISA, or a corruption. I delete the listener for HTTP traffic on the external nic and created it again. Then it all worked.
I spent 2 days trying to get it to work. Damn stupid computer programs...if logic could never be flawed then our jobs would be pretty easy. [Smile] [Smile] [Smile]

Hi WA,

LOL! Yes, let's hope there is never a perfect computer program or hardware piece!

Thanks for the followup!

Tom
