Hi...I have an ISA2004 server which has problems with FTP uploads. Having checked the forum and spoken to M$ about this I found it is because the server was a 1 NIC configuration.

I planned to resolve this issue by installing a second NIC and changing the network to the edge firewall template which I believe should allow FTP uploads. However, I have just checked the network settings in ISA and find that it is already configured with the edge firewall teplate, not the single NIC template as expected. In that case is this as simple as adding new adaptor in the addresses tab of the internal network properties?

Sorry...I have just re-read what I wrote and realised it was rubbish. Why would I want to add the external card the Internal network? Doh...

OK, basically what I saying is I have an ISA server with one NIC configured with the edge firewall template. What do I need to do to add a second NIC to be used as the external interface?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the help elmajdal.

Am I right in thinking that once I have installed the new NIC and correctly configured it then there is nothing I need to do from an ISA point of view? The network on ISA is already configured using the Edge Firewall template and the internal network isn't changing so there is nothing else I could see that I would need to change.

The network on ISA is already configured

Yes, the Networks are already built-in ISA, all u need to do is to configure ur Nics correctly and defind the address of ur Internal LAN properties. then start creating ur rules , like allowing HTTP from Internal To External for All Users and so on.

if u need anything else, u r welcome.

ISa is already configured with the rules etc so hopefully I should just need to add the new card and configure it.

Thanks again.
