Hi,

I seem to have PPTP related problems similar to those described by Guillaume14 on this forum.

This is the setup : ISA2004 running on W2K Server SP4 with 2 Nics. NIC1=intenal lan (10.10.10.10), NIC2= crosscable to Alcatel Speedtouch Home ethernet DSL modem (10.0.0.10 for the ISA, 10.0.0.138 for the modem). Neither NIC has a default gateway set, the internet connection is a PPTP link to the DSL modem.

The web proxy & firewall client work OK but I can't seem to get SecureNat working...

I followed the guides here to setup a DNS cache-only on the ISA box and this works fine. I then followed the "Ping through an ISA server" guide and never got this to work...

Needless to say that when I then followed the "Cisco VPN Client --> ISA --> Cisco VPN concentrator" guide this did not work either.

Right now I am at the point where just getting a response from a simple ping would seem like a major breakthrough ! Anyone any ideas ???

The workstation is manually configured for 10.10.10.11, with the isa as default gateway and DNS server. A ping to a FQDN will be resolved to the correct IP address (so the DNS cache-only is working) but give me nothing but timeouts...
