Hi, I've been running ISA 2000 happily for years but now's the time to switch to 2006. I tried to find Tom's articles on the best procedure to set up the 2k3 server and to install 2006 but didn't find any... any leads? Thanks!

Along with Stoutman, I've gotten ISA 2006 installed today on a new server after ISA 2000 has been running for about 6 years. I was never an ISA 2000 expert by any means, but I am completely intimidated by ISA 2006. I don't really want the firewall or the caching, I'm simply using it to log traffic from all users on the domain (overkill, I know). I may use caching this time around, but I'm really looking for a "how to start" guide for 2006 for users moving from ISA 2000.

Hi, you might not find what u r looking for , ISA 2000 to ISA 2006, but you might start asking specific questions and we will try our best to provide you with the relative articles, little by little you will find how ISA 2006 differs from ISA 2000, and how it is easier to configure. HTH, Tarek

Thanks Tarek, I posted a couple of rather vague questions under: http://forums.isaserver.org/Unihomed/forumid_8024/tt.htm I have what I believe to be a simple ISA 2000 setup, so I'm hoping the ISA 2006 setup will be as easy, though the documentation I've found on the MS site and here either don't explain what I want to do, or at least don't explain things in my terms, which are probably far different from ISA 2000 to 2006 (Destination Sets versus Domain Name Sets for example). Thanks, Matt
