suddenly I get the following error if double-clicking a file on my FTP server.

ISA Server: extended error message :
200 Type set to I.
500 Invalid PORT Command.

This did work last week.
I did reboot the machine.
No effect.
But maybe a patch was applied?
I have automatic update activated.
I'm using W2K Pro

Can anybody explain what this means:

"200 Type set to I."

Hi Christian,

'200 Type set to I' means that the client requested binary mode transfer and that the server acknowledged this request (200 = Command okay).

'500 Invalid PORT Command' means that a problem was detected with the FTP port command (500 = Syntax error, command unrecognized).

I suggest you take a NetMon trace to find out what is really happening on the wire.
