Has anyone tested and have recommendations for 3rd party home firewalls for site to site VPN. We have some power users that want several computers + IP phone at home and estabilsh a site to site VPN with a product like Linksys WVR-54G or a Symantec SFVA 100/200 or Symantec SGS360.

Hi V,

If it supports IPSec tunnel mode (and almost all of them do) then it will work.

It has been tested with major firewalls such as PIX, Astaro, CheckPoint NG, and others. The same principles apply. Create matching IPSec policies on each side and let'r rock.

How are you insuring the security policies on the remote site networks?

HTH,
Tom
