Hi,

Sharepoint farm (SP1+Inf update) published via ISA06 (SP1). FBA listener.

When you get the password wrong for a valid account, having the rule use all authenticated users sends the user to the correct ISA bad password screen.

However if you set it to all users (so you can use anonymous access in sharepoint) it results in;

Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. (1326) The URL remains at the sharepoint address you were trying to reach and from the traffic logging it seems to be coming from the sharepoint box. I've checked the IIS logs on one of the boxes it targeted but nothing related. Not checked the ULS logs yet, doing that now.

Why isn't it directing to the ISA login page? Any thoughts...?

ok small update - colleague of mine discovered that if you put the name in the upn format - user@domain.com it goes to the correct ISA bad password screen.
