Hi, I've installed ISA 2006 Ent. on Windows Server 2003 Ent. VL SP1. ISA Server and CSS are installed on the same computer. After that I don't have any network access to the computer, where ISA Server is installed and I can't access any computer in the network FROM that computer. In the Firewall settings I had only one rule defined - deny any access (I thougth this is the reason). I defined another rule, allowing all outbound traffic between localhost and internal network (both source and target). But after trying to apply the changes in the configuration I get an alert saying that access to configuration storage server is blocked. Can you advise me what to do in such situation? Thank you!
Thank you, but if I don't make a rule involving localhost, why ISA includes localhost into the rule? Or it considers localhost internal network? And why localhost shouln't be contained in the rule? Thanx
There are System Policy rules that allow some traffic to and from the local host network. While those are generally safe, you should always review them to make sure that they are all required. Any that are not required should be disabled. For general firewall policy rules, you should never create a rule that allows traffic to the local host network.
