I currently have a authenticated DMZ with a SharePoint server sitting in it.  I need to be able to access the \\machinename\admin$ share on this server from the internal network.  I currently have a firewall policy that allows all traffic from the internal network to the DMZ but I can not access the admin share on the server in the DMZ.  What do I need to do to allow this connection?

Hi PCC!
well to access a share in dmz all you have to do is to allow ping and Microsoft CIFS(tcp).
the security issues that will come after this will be up to you....

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried adding ping and Microsoft CIFS(tcp).  I actually went as far as creating firewall rules that allow all protocals in both directions and it still does not work.  But if I log onto the SharePoint server that is in the DMZ I can access the shares on the servers on the Internal network but I can not access a share on a workstation.  But I can not access the SharePoint server shares from any machine on the internal network.

Could there be something in the System Policy that needs to be changed for this to work?

I have done this on an anonymous dmz and the only protocols I needed were those two for access the admin$ share on the dmz web server. since you are using authenticated dmz it might be an issue with this.
check the logs on isa and on that sharepoint server.
also check the users need to access the share.
with what users are you trying to access that share?
what is the error that you get when trying to access the share?
