Hey folks ,
I've got the ISA installed ,and it blocks the softwares that use port 4662. How can I configure it to allow downloads and connection through this port??
Thanks!

Hi Eradicator,

check out http://www.tacteam.net/openport.htm ! [Big Grin]

You have to create a protocol definition unless it is an unstandard HTTPS port. So, to help you further you have to give us some more info.

Is it HTTP, HTTPS, TCP or UDP based? Who initiates the connection (inbound or outbound)? etc...

Once the protocol definition is created you have to allow it in a protocol rule.

Stefaan

Thanks! You've already helped me so much!
I'm using the emule software ,actually..
Frankly ,I'm very novice-y in the ISA stuff ,so I don't know to distinguish between inbound and outbound. I think it uses TCP protocol ,if it helpes in some way...
Thanks!

Hi Eradicator,

it sounds like the eMule software is some kind of P2P Filesharing application. I suggest you do a search in all the forums on the keyword "emule". There seems quite a lot of posts about this software.
