Hi -

A Windows Updates NG may be more appropriate for this, but so far I haven't had any help from the one on MS.....

The new FWC is available as a MS Update or through WSUS, yet it appears that even machines that have a previous version of FWC installed don't detect it. And since you cannot install any previous version of it on Vista, there is no way for Vista to detect it. (I am guessing that if you upgrade an XP machine that has the FWC installed to Vista, maybe AU will detect that it is installed and download the new one, but I am not in a position to confirm that.)

Can anyone clarify this?

Also, since this new client is not availabe as an MSI like the previous ones, it can't be easily deployed through Group Policy.
