Is it possible to authenticate ISA 2006 web proxy users using LDAP against Novell eDirectory? We want to replace our Novell Bordermanager proxies with ISA Server and this capability would be useful.

Hi wilsona,

Unfortunately isa server 2006 doesn't support LDAP for foward web proxy, its only supported for web publishing. Its a great shame as i was looking for this functionality as well to authenticate users in another domain (seperate to the one isa is a member of).

I think they may have it in the next version. For the time being your choice would be to use RADIUS to authenticate your clients for the web proxy, make sure that you protect the radius data using IPSec.

OK - I'll go with that. We have a radius server here, for use with our VPN. Can you point me in the direction of details on using this to authenticate proxy users against our eDirectory?
