I am trying to setup Veritas Backup Exec to backup our servers on our DMZ. Port 10000 is defined in my rule. What else would be required to allow our internal backup server to connect to our DMZ and work properly? Can't map to the server either way. We can ping the server on the DMZ from ISA. I had read we may need to allow CIFS and Netbios? Any help would be appreciated.

Setup as follows:

Access rule: protocol:Veritas:Port:10000 from: Backup Server to: Perimeter

Thanks in advance.

Good day,

under monitoring you can check what ports the BE server is attempting to access the server you are backing up.
