Hi,

I am attempting to setup 2 ISA 2006 boxes in an array configuration w/ integrated NLB on the external NIC. The external NIC's are 65.x.x.x and I was told that the NLB IP address could be on a separate network such as 10.x.x.x. I configured the NLB with 10.x.x.x as the NLB IP address but I can't get the NLB services to run on either ISA server. I am not seeing any NLB Service Unavailable under the Monitoring\Services on the ISA boxes. Shouldn't the IP for NLB be on the same network as the external NIC's?

Yep, NLB virtual IPs need to be on the same submet as the dedicated addresses. So in your case, this would be 65.x.x.x address for the VIPs.

You also need to enable NLB on all network, apart from the Intra-array NIC to ensure you achieve correct bi-directional affinity.

Maybe the person who "told you" was getting confused and meant you could put the intra-array network on 10.x???
