Hi Faisal,

Best cache config depends on your goals. How are you using the cache?

Thanks!
Tom

for me best cache should be equal to 2GB (if the clients are less than 150)on a seperate harddisk partition and that partition should not be less than 3GB so the free space should be atleast 35% remaining. the active cache should be at normal priority and no dynamic contents or ssl should be cached. scheduled downloads should not be used if using active caching. these are the tips i can give at the moment.

FAISAL,

I agree with Tom. We can't give you much advice without more information on what end result you are trying to accomplish.

Hi,

I am running cable.net setup with 200 users with satellite downlink.
I want ISA server to preserve cache for long time, for example I want everything to be cache for at least one week, If a userdownloaded a file or site, It must be available for next 1 week minimum. so that every other user will be serve via cache to that site or file.
In other words, howto create a cache policy so that cache lives for longer min. 1 week. what variable should I set.

In cache configuration properties / http wht to set it ?
TTL =
Percentafe = ?
No less Then = ? and No more then = ?

and In Active cache wht to select ?
and in advance, return the expired object only, wht options to select .

Plz help me out in this issue, I want to save my bandwith and seve cache as much as possible.
