I appreciate the work has been done here but I am wondering if you guys can convert the board to something more user friendly and faster for browse like invision power board or vbulletin

i dont mind the forum. it's good in my opinion. but it is missing the option of emailing users automatically based on replies or private msg's, isn't it? cus i dont see that option available anywhere. adding that would help me alot, since i get forgetfull about where i posted what.

It is missing a lot compared to other software�s out there. These are some which can come to my mind
� As you said an option to receive mail on replies
� The ability to see posts since last time you visited and every time you visit a post, then it automatically unmark it
� Private message system in case if I want to ask someone for help and need to pass a link or IP address privately
� It is not screen wide so we are missing a lot f view for easier navigating. Blind people like me will love it
� The quick reply box so you don�t have to go through a new page for answering a post
� Searching options is so limited and damn slow
� So much more which can�t come in my mind

I am personally willing to help in the site owner want and have a server which can donate you to run a more user friendly forum like invision

Well BSDBOY it already have first three options that you wish and I dont think this forumis slow in speed I am running VB on my site but i found UBB faster in speed.

I am personally willing to help and participate to get it work better. Even if you guys want I can make an identical copy of this forums on a test board and share the link with you guys so we can test and see how more user friendly it is [Wink]

but compared to what I have seen is nothing. I am not trying to flood or make troubles but I personally beleive that we can make it better.

send email no replies doesn't work for me and also has no option so I can get the reply in my mail instead of coming to site

private message system is so limited, you can't search for users or based on posts

the search option tells you sit tight back and wait and wait 1,2,3,4,5,6,,,,,,, it is still looking becuase of the algorithm

anytime you login you can see the post since last visit and automatically become checked when you visit not making you reset posts

it gives ability to post attachmnet in case users have problems and I guess one screenshot does a bettr job than 10 lines of description

As I said if the owner of this site is interested, I can copy the forum on a test board and share the link/password for them so they can test it and see if they like it [Wink]

I again apperciate the free service which is given here

personally All I need here

is to be notified by email if somebody replies to my post.

I dont need personal messaging via web forum for that is better email (but I understand thats not good option for users without proper SPAM filtering:).

I would be so greatful is the searching across forums where better. It takes forever to run a search and the meta refresh "found x results..." keeps you from being able to use the back button to run another search, makes it very unfriedly to use.

I agree. The search feature upgrade is the most important to me, as I think there is a ton of great information that is just lost somewhere on the boards because its so hard to search them.

Tom,

May I suggest when you upgrade to new forums; give us an option to see the forum as a separate page loaded so we can use the full screen. Also keeping the original page as an extra tool and advertisements
