One of the biggest hassles for an administrator is pouring through the logs to track down an anomoly or track an attack that is underway.

Wouldn't it be nice if the packet filtering logs could be displayed from within the console in a realtime fashion? It would be really helpful if we could even filter out different items like a specific IP address, port number, blocked or allowed packets while it occurs in realtime.

This isn't a new idea since some of us also have experience with other Firewall packages like CheckPoint. The way they display logging is a real big plus for admins trying to solve configuration problems or quickly identify who is probing/attacking you.

I agree that ISA's logging is difficult to understand BUT not impossible. There is some good information around this forum and in knowledge base on better understanding ISA's logging system.
