I have imported all the filters that are at the site http://www.isaserver.bm/destination_sets.html and while we are blocking social sites and porn, are blocking TV station web sites such as foxnews.com, local TV stations and most newspaper web sites.  Does anyone know which filter is doing this or do I need to work through all of them in a process of elimination?

Thanks

Hi,

You already uploaded bunch of URL's/Domain list and it will be hard to find that. The best way is to create a Whitelist Destination(URL/Domain) Set and put it on your deny rule exceptions.

Cheers...

I put an allow http, https in front of the blocking filter and put the info in like this:

seattletimes.com/*
seattlepi.com/*
foxnews.com/*

and they were still being blocked.

Am I doing the allow wrong?  I put it in a new Domain set that I created and then pointed the allow filter to that.

Don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but the Newspaper sites were blocked in the Domain Advertisement sites.

Hi,

If you prefare not to used exceptions your scenario is possible but make sure the Allow Rule is Above your deny rule. Destination sets are 2 types. URL and Domain.

URL Sets = http://www.foxnews.com
Domain name sets = foxnews.com

so if you would like to allow thru domain name set you just need to put foxnews.com without the wildcard. This will allow any subdomains within the FQDN.

Cheers...
