Hi everyone,

I can no longer access the configuration storage server on my installation. To my knowledge, nothing was changed, except the local admin password. I had complete access a few days ago.

I'm not sure if this is related, but I found this in the System log (which is partly corrupted by the way):

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{BA126AD1-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

yep, i'm really screwed here...

i've noticed several attack attempts over the last few days. the server also crashed hard last night.

it looks as if the local admin account was removed from the array permissions or something. is there any way to re-apply the permissions from outside the mmc?

Any help would be very much appreciated at this point.
