I have tried to open up port 5282 TCP outbound on my ISA server but am not having any luck - here's my setup: Policy Element / Protocol Definition: Created a rule to allow port 5282 outbound via TCP. Access Policy / Protocol Rule: Created a rule which allowed protocol definition rule created above. I cannot ping the specified IP address with port (ex. 170.146.199.11:5282) - error "Unknown host 170.146.199.11:5282" Any ideas? Thanks! ------------------

Nevermind . . . I had to go to Access Policy / IP Packet Filters to allow inbound and outbound traffic on those ports. . . as Clint has stated - you will NOT be able to ping a port number with an IP address.

Hi Nicholas, That's right, you can't ping a port number. Use Telent to see if you can cannot to the port number of interest. HTH,
