[Originally posted on microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs] I am hoping that the experts here can help me out. ======================== Running Small Business Server 2003 Premium, Exchange, ISA 2004 SP2, SQL, WSUS, 2 NICs and a router, static IP, T1 connection. ======================== My C: drive is/was running out of room; I saw another thread on this NG on that subject and did as they advised the author. I also downloaded and executed an MS app called "Windows Installer Clean Up". This program "killed" not only ISA 2004, but Adobe Reader 8.1.1 and DELL System Administrator (My box is a DELL Poweredge 2800). I clicked on Windows Installer Clean Up, until I saw all those files get deleted. That was 2 days ago. Immediately, those 3 apps were gone. I tried to reinstall ISA 2004, but it got to about the 3/4 mark and gave me about a 0.5 sec look at an error message and rebooted the server. Didn't find it in the Event Logs. Or in the C:\Program Files\Isa Server folder. I came in today at 5:45 am so I coulkd get this up by start of business (8 am). Here it is 11 am and we're still not fully up. I've tried uninstalling everything I can find with ISA's name on it, but the ISA updates in Control Panel\Add-Remove Programs won't let me uninstall them without the parent porogram in place. I don't want to mess with the registry. I got out my backup tape from the day before I did this BIG mistake. I restored everything on the C drive that looked even remotely like a system or Microsoft program gotta-have -it file. Rebooted and tried again - same thing. Tried a couple more times to install ISA 2000 and then ISA 2004 on top of it - same result. We're up with ISA 2000 so the users are happy. But .... what did I do wrong? What am I missing? And how do I correct my mistake? Many thanks in advance!! -- Mike Webb Platte River Whooping Crane Maintenance Trust, Inc. a 501 (c)(3) conservation non-profit organization

I'm confused, what is exactly your network setup? does the DC, ISA, Exchange are running on the same server?

Everything is on one box - Small Business Server 2003 Premium. Should ahve posted back. I got this solved by using using MS's Installer Cleanup utility to flush out ISA and then I reinstalled. All is well.
