Hello, First of all, I would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge using ISA Server 2006. I have a simple and small network of about 115 nodes including DHCP, DNS, WINS and SQL servers. Up until two weeks ago my company was using ISA Server 2000 and we had VPN and RDP functionality. Everything worked fine; external clients could VPN and create an RDP connection to their desktop. Well, the ISA Server crashed. I had another server available which is running Windows Server 2003 R2. I decided to install ISA Server 2006 on this machine as an upgrade. VPN connections work fine but the problem is with RDP. Once a VPN connection is made through an external client, the client will then try to RDP and receive a message stating that the machine is not available. I can RDP internally to any machine, but it won't work externally. I've created an access rule to allow external RDP connections to the internal network but with no success. I didn't have this issue with ISA Server 2000 so I can't figure out what's different. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Tim

Hello, Thanks for the reply. I have a rule setup to allow > RDP (terminal services) server > From External/VPN Clients > To Internal/local host > All Users. My understanding is that this rule will open port 3389 from VPN Clients to the Internal network, however, we still can't RDP. Tim

Thank you for the help. I'll setup up the rule as suggested and give it a try. Tim
