Can not use IP Address - 14.Mar.2005 6:18:00 PM
Guest
Hi all --

I have ISA2004 setup and I've come across an issue and was hoping someone could help me out.

Whenever I try to type an IP address of a server in Internet Explorer I get the following error message.

502 Proxy Error. The ISA Server denied the Specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). (12202)

So for example, let's say I have an internal website/application; if I type the IP address I get an error message, but if I type the host name of the server or the proper domain address the page loads up.

Is there something one has to change in ISA to allow users type in IP address?

Thanks!

Javed

Hi Javed,

Configure the Web browser settings for the ISA firewall Network from which the clients connect to the ISA firewall to use direct access for addresses on that Network.

HTH,
Tom
