Hi,

I've been configuring http filtering in order to prevent users frmo downloading certain types of files (.exe .mp3 etc etc). This seems to work fine within most websites, but when it comes to webmail like Windows Live mail and gmail and Yahoo mail then the filetype does not seem to be picked up and all users are allowed to download whatever they like...

I'm assuming this is simply because of the way that the webmail sites handle the file request but I don't know how to stop it, any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated, I'm using ISA2004 as a web proxy in a single nic configuration.

Hi,

how you blocked those extention ?

Hi,

I've blocked the content exactly as it says in the link...

I've blocked the .mp3 filetype within http filtering and also blocked all audio content on the firewall access rule but I'm still able to download an mp3 from my g-mail and windows live mail accounts
