Alrighty then!  =]  I'm looking for a little guidance, a little certificates 101 if you will.  A little background on what I have, what I want, and what I've gotten so far.

What I have:  I have two Windows 2003 Enterprise R2 servers, one is my DC/IIS/Exchange and the other (aging laptop) is just my ISA.  My ISA isn't running IIS, just my DC (limitation of hardware at the moment is never fun.)  IIS now - I have one website, say http://www.nnnnn.com wich works fine.  I'm currently working on the OWA, which will be (if I can get the certs figured out), https://www.nnnnn.com/Exchange (although, I would like to get it changed to https://mail.nnnn.com but thats neither here nor there at the moment).  I would also like to use like...  Either a https://www.nnnn.com/protected or a https://www.mmmm.com but both being windows authenticated and SSL.

I've gotten my server certificate from http://www.cacert.org but it was just a bunch of garble.  I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it, so I saved it as a txt file for the moment.  The site also has a Root Certificate that you can get, but not sure which one to get.  Class 1 PKI Key, Class 3 PKI key, PGP Key, or what format; text format, DER format, PEM format.  I also have a Client Certificate - again...  I know I need it, just not sure what to do with it!

Now that this is getting rather lengthy, I'll end it now.  Basically looking for a little guidance on where the certs should be applied (IIS?  ISA?  Where...?)  And looking for a little help in deciphering the certificates.  Any links to "helpful" websites is a plus.  I'm thinking that my googling skills aren't very good, because I get a TON of links to sites about certificates, but nothing to really help the 101 level...  TIA!!!
