I have just setup my first 2004 ISA server and I am wondering if it can even do what I want to accomplish.

I have installed this ISA server to be more of a proxy than anything. We currently use an upstream filter through chaining for the website filtering. BUT I would like to have some user go upstream and some direct to the request. I am a little lost and I was wondering if someone could give me some instructions or answers. I have tried a few things and I cant seem to figure it out.

Example of my idea setup would be..

Computer A goes through the upstream server

Computer B goes directly out.

I can make computer A go through the upstream but I can seem to get computer B to bypass it.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Brian,

What kind of proxy work do you want the ISA firewall to perform? Winsock?

Thanks!
Tom

Tom,

I guess it would winsock proxy. I want to allow clients to have access to internet. Everything on the internal domain is done on a differant box. DNS, DHCP, etc is all done on the PDCs.

Thx
Brian
