Hi,

I am able to get a connection from my LAN through our ISA server with no problem using Cisco VPN Client by opening UDP 500 and UDP 10000. My problem is that when i connect i cant ping anything on the other side of the tunnel, not even the VPN server. When i move my laptop outside of the ISA server and connect through VPN i can ping everything on the otherside of the tunnel.

Any Help would be great.
Thanks

Hi Zajickova,

there are a lot of topics about the Cisco VPN client. Have you already seen the latest one http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=13;t=001254 ? Worth checking out.

You should certainly have a protocol rule allowing UDP port 500 send/receive. In addition you will need UDP port 4500 send/receive or UDP port 10000 send/receive, depending on the version of the Cisco client and gateway.

Also, make sure the client is configured as a SecureNAT client. This means that his default gateway should point to the ISA internal interface. Don't forget to disable the firewall client when installed (right click the Firewall client icon in the system tray).

HTH,
Stefaan

Hi Stefaan

That forum was a great help thanks [Wink] . Although i did have to enable NAT-T on the Cisco VPN Concentrator too to get it to work.

Many thanks, one headache made all better. [Big Grin]
