I have installed Cisco VPN Client  V 4.6.01.0019 on my computer and have successfully established a connection to the remote server using the rules explained in the article http://forums.isaserver.org/VPN/forumid_30/tt.htm  The problem is that, although I can see the other computers on the remote network once connected (using an IP Scan), when I put in the web page address I get nothing back on my web browser.  This situation was explored on this forum in 2003 ( http://forums.isaserver.org/m_130146700/tm.htm ) as well as being mentioned in the article.  Following the directions I have set up a locallat.txt file with the IP addresses of the remote network however this did not solve the problem.  If I use dial up I can get access to the web pages as expected.  Am I missing something.

Hi John,

check out my article http://www.isaserver.org/articles/IPSec_Passthrough.html, particular section ‘4. Configuring ISA Clients’.

quote:

If the client host is configured as a Web Proxy client, you must make sure that the destinations reachable through the VPN tunnel are not redirected to the Web Proxy service on ISA server. Therefore, you should configure those destinations for direct access. How to do that is very well explained in the article Configuring Web Proxy Clients for Direct Access by Tom Shinder.

HTH,
Stefaan
