I have been a frequent player of the new MMORPG City of Heroes sinece its BETA

and I recently reconfiged my network and upgrade to ISA 2004

Got everything working except that my GAMING PC on which i have COH installed could not connect further then the "Choose Server List" screen

After consulting with COH support I came up with the following solution

Solution:

1>. CREATE A NEW PROTOCOL DEFINITION

2104 TCP OUTBOUND
2106 TCP OTUBOUND
6994 TCP OUTBOUND
7000-7100 UDP SEND RECEIVE

SECONDARY CONNECTION

2104 TCP INCOMING
2106 TCP INCOMING
6994 TCP INCOMING

2>. NOW CREATE A NEW RULE FOR THE GAME PC "PLAYCOH" ASSIGNING THE GAME PC IP TO IT AND THE NEW PROTOCOL DEFINITION FROM STEP 1

3>. CLICK APPLY TO UPDATE FIREWALL

THATS IT

THE COH SUPPORT WEBSITE/KB ONLY MENTIONED ALLOWING 2104,2106,6994 AND 7000-7100 BUT DIDNT HAVE DETAIL AS TO WHAT PARAMETERS SHOULD BE SET

I ASKED THEM TO UPDATE THE KB ARTICLE

WELL I HOPE THIS HELPS MY FELLOW COH HEROES
