Hi

A requirement has been raised where a new web app that we are going to deploy to our web servers requires the Client IP address at the web server so we can screen for fraud checking my only problem is that the ISA servers (2006 Enterprise with 2 nodes) are in unihome mode which means I cannot forward the original IP address using the settings in the rule. I have looked at ClientIPForwarder (by ISDIM www.isdim.com) which is an ISAPI add in but I cannot get any responces from them and they say their ISAPI filter is for ISA 2000/2004.

Has anyone else got any experience of this type of setup who would be able to assist me.

I think Winfrasoft has a filter to do this. I'll forward your request and maybe someone from there will respond.

Hi All

Yes, we have a filter for ISA 2006 called X-Forwarded-For for ISA that does just that. Version 1 is currently available but that only supports forward proxy scenarios, however, version 2 will be out very shortly which will also support reverse proxy scenarios like yours. V2 is available in beta at the moment if you need to do some urgent testing. Let me know on steven@winfrasoft.com.

Hi

FYI - X-Forwarded-For for ISA Server 2.0 is now out. Tracking source IP's through ISA is now no longer a problem in forward or reverse proxy scenarios. Get it at www.x-forwarded-for.net
