I am trying to understand how i can authenticate the client app with the ISA server. What are the steps involved in this. And after authentication how ISA server will pass the client request onto the webapp.

thanks

Thanks for your quick response,

We want to have the SSL based mutual authentication using the certificates between web application and the Microsoft ISA Server 2006.
After the mutual authentication, the ISA server should pass the request to the LDAP server which actually do the authentication.

As we are requseted to use only LDAP authentication not use Kerberos constrained delegation in our  requirement. Without using Kerberos constrained delegation can't we implement the LDAP authentication. Thanks ,Koti

Sorry for the delay in replying.

No, as far as I know LDAP authentication cannot be used with client certificates.  How about joining ISA Server to a domain?  Then you could configure:

Certificates -> Active Directory -> Kerberos Constrained Delegation
