Hey all, I have a server publishing rule for my mail server using the SMTP server protocol. I want to start blacklisting specific addresses from being able to send me mail. So I created 2 client sets. One called All Addresses and one called Banned Addresses. The range of addresses in the All set is 1.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255 and then I put in the specific addresses I want banend in the banned set. Then I modify the server publishing rule and change "This rule applies to client address sets specified below" and I put the All Addresses into "Applies to requests coming from..." and the Banned Addresses into "Exceptions".

In theory it seems like this should work, but when I restart my firewall service I get this Event ID 14092:

Server publishing rule [SMTP Server] failed. The protocol specified cannot be used for publishing. Location 311.2290.3.0.1200.166. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help.

Any help would be appreciated. My only alternative is to create a separate IP packet filter for each address I want to ban, which is an administrative nightmare to say the least.
