As far as I can tell, I have everything set to unlimited. Anyone know why I'm getting this error? Is there an undocumented ceiling that you can hit under "unlimited"?

ISA Server disconnected the following client: 192.168.0.72 because its connection limit was exceeded. For more information about this event, see the Windows event viewer.

Hi W,

Why is the client exceeding its connection limit? Virus infection? Warez software installed? (Kazaa, Bit Torrent, etc.

Hi ,

Have you had a look here ?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\fwsrv\Parameters]
"MaxCtrlThreads"=dword:000003e8

Not sure if you should touch it , but hey it's worth a try [Smile]

Hi W,

How about setting the connection limit for the server as a custom limit? You can do that in the General options section.

Um... yeah.

Apparently after closing and re-opening the admin tool, I find that the box had gotten re-checked to limit connections. Thanks. [Smile]

I'd like to report that I encounter such error when using the (wonderful) browser Opera: while internet explorer manages only 4 connections at the same time, Opera by default uses 20 (max 8 to the same server) to retrieve pages more fastly.
So when I vist many sites and jump from one to the other, or when I use the search function in this forum isa kills me down [Smile]

The good news is that Opera allows the user to change this setting [Wink]

You know I am getting this error ALOT but I am also using FIREFOX, so I wonder if this will become a problem in the coming months. Not to mention that sometimes Firefox goes CRAZY when I download something using GetRight or viewing a PDF document. Firefox suddenly starts to utilize 100% CPU, machine starts to "churn" for like 15 minutes, and then suddenly "POOF" everything is fine.

Firefox is SWEET, but I think they need to work out some KINKS with regards to proxy servers or how things are cached and "FED" to it. Maybe connection limits are a problem? But unlike OPERA you cannot change any settings so I will be increasing Connection Limits on ISA Server 2004... [Smile]
