We have run MS ISA for years now and have always had a problem with WebProxy clients being prompted for credentials. A user enters a valid domain\user account but the prompt comes back.

I have just installed a new server running ISA 2006, users still get the problem. The server is in Integrated mode and runs a proxy server. I have been doing some testing of the problem, if the clients web browser is set to use a wpad file it locates the server but still prompts for credentials, with the ISA client users still get the problem.

We have about 2000 users of which we only get a couple of calls a week from users with the problem. The service desk try usual things such as resetting users password.

Our domain is running in mixed mode due to old Samba servers could this possibly be anything to do with the prompting? The web proxy is set to all authenticated users out, which all domain users will be a members of.

Has anyone else had this problem?
