A scope (range) of our network need to go over another firewall than the ISA server. All clients are sec.nat and webproxy (via dhcp option 252). On the dhcp server, I changed the default gateway to the new firewall (non isa) and removed the option 252 (wpad) but strange enough these clients still receive the wpad-file and go over the ISA? I don't distribute the wpad via dns.

Does a client caches the place of the wpad file? On a client if I remove the "autom. detect"in internet options and remove the wpad file it is ok but this is not a solution good solution for me (to many clients to do manually)

Hi,

Has the DHCP lease expired on the client? The 252 option is still valid on the old lease. Renew the client IP.

Removed all leases from DHCP. Restart dhcp services. Released/renewed ip. Restart clients but still the same.
[update] fyi, on the same dchp server are other scopes configured with the wpad option, but offcourse as scope option not as server option.
