I have published a SQL server. That works fine. But I only want certain IP addresses out on the internet to have access. This is because of that brute force SQL Server log on attack out there. I only want 1433 access for my developer (ex: 69.xxx.xxx.xxx) and access for replication from another SQL server (ex: 63.xxx.xxx.xxx). Can't figure how to do this. Thanks for any help.

When you want to do this you have to configure two rules. One rule for 1433 acces from your developers ip and a second rule that allows access for replication from the IP address of the other SQL server. In the publishing rule you can edit the field where the "from" adresses are defined, by default this is "anywhere".

Good luck
