That's a good question because there is currently documentation regarding multi-site configuration for Windows DirectAccess. You can find that information over at:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff625682(WS.10).aspx

However, you might wonder if that will work with UAG DirectAccess and how does it interaact with our IPv6/IPv4 Protocol Translation technologies. At this time, we have not tested the Windows DA approach to multi-site DA servers. Later in the year we will have more information on how to deploy the UAG server in a multi-site configuration.

However, if this is critical to your DA deployment, just make sure to let you MS representative know and MS is always willing to work with you.

HTH,
Tom

Hi Tom,

Can you explain what options exist at this time?

Cheers

JJ

Hi Jason,

Right now we don't have something to share that's CSS tested and supported. There should be some stuff coming in the future, maybe with SP1, maybe before.

I do have some early thoughts on how you might do this with UAG, though it hasn't been tested. Send me a note if you'd like to review this. It would only be informational, since it's not official, but maybe it can give you some ideas.

Thanks!
Tom

Yes please Tom, as some of our bigger customers have two or more data centres...

Jason,

Right now, we don't have a good story for UAG and multi-site, but hopefully will have something for customers later this year.

Can you write to me at tomsh@microsoft.com regarding what you're customers expections and requirements are for multi-site?

What would they do if we had nothing to offer them in this area? How important is multi-site to your customers?

Thanks!
Tom
