I currently use ISA server 2006 enterprise edition and im having problems with downloads, i have an 8mbp/s internet connection coming into the site but when i download an ordinary file say 50mb big the download speed is really slow untill it reaches 25% then suddenly it gets really quick and it does this for every file I download through Internet Explorer. Its as if there is some sort of throttling going on through ISA because if you plug the client direct into the router bypassing the proxy server all together downloads are fine. Can anybody shed any light on why this is happening and possibly reply with a solution. Thank You Chris R.

Hi, im pretty new to ISA server as I am learning it you see what do you mean by "Network Template", I can tell you how I have my NIC's configured on the server basically what I have is two NIC's one plugged direct into the Router, the other connected to the switch which feeds the internal network i.e. client pcs and a wireless access point, the NIC that is connected to the internal switch has an IP address of 10.10.10.1, and a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and no gateway entered, the 2nd NIC connected to the router has an IP of 192.168.1.6, and a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.168.1.1. The gateway address on that NIC is that of the router. All client machines use the 10.10.10.xx range with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway address of 10.10.10.1. Hope this is of some help to you

Hello, ISA have some network templates that helps you to config you network easily. Instead of you create manually all the Network objects and Network Rules. ISA do it for you. Your NIC config seems to be fine. Check your access rules and logging (Monitoring - Logging) to make sure ISA is not blocking valid content. Regards.
