I'm getting a weird problem with ISA 2004.

If I use FileZilla client to go to an FTP server over port 21, everything works well over my wireless connection (no firewall, except on the Linksys cable modem router).

If I switch to a network protected by ISA 2004, I can connect to the FTP server, browse directories and change file permissions, but uploading files or creating directories, generates 550 Access Denied error. Same error is generated when using hosting provider's Java based FTP client on a web.

Switching back to wireless, resolves the issue, but I need to be connected to LAN for the source files.

Any ideas?

After I've disabled the FTP Access Filter, I can upload files and create directories.

I've thought that the filter is only applied to incoming connections? I can't find much information how to control it besides enabling and disabling.

lets begin:

1- right click your ftp rule :

2- click on Configure FTP

then

3- uncheck the Read Only checkbox

now Try Again from behind ISA
