I have enabled ftp server on my windows 2000 server/ISA Server.Our internet connection is ADSL with US robotics router running. I configured the ISA Server to allow the ftp requests. I tested the connection using web browser as well as cute ftp and I have no problem in connecting by entering static IP Address from web browser and cute ftp.

The objective for ftp server is to share files with our clients. Now the problem is i can connect by entering my static ip address but not the internal domain name of my windows 2000 server which is tecnoserve.dxb. I dont want to give my clients our Static ip address to connect our ftp server.

All i want is, that my client should open web browser and enter ftp://ftp.tecnoserve.dxb and login to the ftp server.

How to forward the incoming ftp requests to my windows 2000 server ip address which is 192.168.0.1 (tecnoserve.dxb)

pls help...

Your answer lies in "Server publishing" the internal FTP server.
and using a valid external DNSname that points to the ISA external interface which ISA then forwards inside....

ahit, thanks for you reply.

Actually, i m new to ISA Server, i dont know how to setup. I will appreciate if you could tell me the steps to do it.

I hateto be a part pooper but you should NEVER blindly trust someone elses directions.
ALWAYS read through the documentation so you at least have a modicum ofan idea of what you are doing.
Why? "Login as root on a *nix box and type rm -r"
On a WIndows200X server type "del \ /s /q"
These are BAD things.... and blindly following someone elses directions would trash your box!
