FTP question

We have a Firewall-1 between our internal users and ISA server. Ports 8080 and 1745 are open.

Some internal users want to connect to FTP sites from command prompt (DOS)

We installed ISA Client on the internal users, but they can't connect to FTP sites.

After some research I read FTP protocol opens a dynamic port from client to ISA so I need to open ports > 1023 on firewall-1 as well.

My question is : is there any way to limit the range?

the Firewall client is designed assuming there is a clear path without filtering between the client and the ISA server. So, get rid of the Firewall-1 between the client and the ISA server.

why are you using the ISA Firewall client in your case? I assume the ISA isn't joined to the clients domain.
