I had to restore our ISA 2004 sp2 appliance today and after getting ISA server backup online with a different computer name but the same IP address my clients can not get the FW client to connect. error message: "server returned and unresolved redirected server name. " I have gone through the posts and flush'd the dns, registered the dns, checked the dns server to ensure the mappings are correct.... what am I missing? thanks

go to the properties of your internal Network, click on the Firewall Client tab, and under the Firewall client configuration ISA Server name or IP Address enter the new name of your server, as well as ensuring that the Enable firewall client box is checked.

Hi, Go to the properties of your internal network and remove the 'automatically detect settings' from the client tab. Check also the following article from microsoft to add the IP address of your ISA networks cards to the IP inclusion list: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813368/en-us HTH,
