Enable Web Proxy listener on the localhost network.

Make the browser on the ISA Firewall a Web Proxy client.

Tom

Do you not need to add the Internal Network to the source networks on the web access rule you have created. Cheers

Hi Gofishing,

Yes, the source would be Internal and destination external.

Web proxy client configuration sets the browser to using the IP address on the Internal interface.

HTH,
Tom

let me tell u how my ISA server is connected to the network
my isa server is connected only to LAN, the other network interface is not connected.. the lAN interface's default gateway is a sonicwall firewall which is connected to router. my network looks like this:
Internet -------> router -------> sonicwall -------> ISA ------->LAN
has the network something to do with this issue.. i mean the error i get when i open a website and a get Failed Connection Attempt

thanx in advance

You need to configure the ISA Firewall as a back end firewall behind the sonicwall. In that way you get full functinoality and it will fix problems you're having right now.

Tom

but what if i want to keep my network design as it is... is there another solution of moving the ISA server to the backend of my network?

Sounds like it might be a routing issue - does the Sonicwall firewall perform the NAT translation? If so, then you need to set up a route Network Rule in ISA rather than a NAT rule. If not, then the reverse.

I have a checkpoint firewall at both sides of the ISA array in a back firewall config - the ISA server just bridges 2 DMZ's..

You will need to do some small reworking of your network to support the ISA Firewall, since it's the back end Firewall, you need to configure you clients behind the ISA Firewall to use it as their Internet gateway.

Tom
