In the process of upgrading the SBS2003 to SBS 2003 SP1 and then SBS 2003 R2, the ISA portion went a bit askew. The ISA2004 installation, by default, exports the existing configuration as an XML file and then deletes the ISA2000 installation. I received a message to manually import the ISA2000 settings from the XML: file at the completion of the upgrade. The upgrade then failed and I was left without either ISA 2000 or 2004. However, I did have the XML file generated by the upgrade process. After manually installing the ISA2004 and SP2 plus the HTTP fix as documented in Micro$oft documentation re installing the Premium components, I went to import the XML file using the ISA2004 import function. When I selected the XML file generated by the upgrade process, I was prompted for a password. Oops!!! What password? There was no mention the file was created with a password. I now have a working ISA2004, but I would like to import the ISA2000 exported settings as a point from which to tune the ISA2004. There were several customisations that should come across OK. Does anyone have any idea what the PASSWORD is to unlock the generated XML file? I am desperate, having spent hours without any reference to this issue. Google, Technet, several forums... nothing. PLEASE, PLEASE... anyone knowing this.... please save my bacon. Cheers guys.... (and Hi to Tom and Deb...keep writing them books and I'll keep buying them - you guys are a real asset to the ISA community)
