Firewall Client Agent crashes on startup - 13.Sep.2006 11:49:20 AM

We are getting this error on nearly each and every computer we have installed the client on. All computers are running a fresh install of Windows XP Pro with SP2 and all the latest updates, and client was deployed via a GPO. The error is as follows:

The Firewall Client Agent service terminated with service-specific error 2147942405 (0x80070005)

We have tried redoploying the client however the same error would pop up after around 3 restarts.

Hi Tom,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the problem persists. We will try and install the version that is now available on the Micrsoft site to see if there is any improvement. In the meantime we have reverted back to the 2004 Client.
