I am running ISA 2006 standard installed on Server 2003.

Lets start from a reboot...
The server works perfectly. I can use a firewall client from the previous ISA 2000 so my desktop apps can reach the internet via the proxy. It works great. life is good.

THEN!!!!
suddenly it stops working. No logs on my local desktop. No logs/alerts/errors, etc... on the server.

I reboot the server and it works beautifully again. this happens every 1 to 2 days. I can not seem to find a pattern or clue as to why this may be happening.

Does anyone have a idea of what this is or where I could look?

Is the ISA Firewall also being used as a VPN server?

No, I am using it strictly as a web proxying server. All outbound HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP traffic from the users will be proxied by this server.

I have noticed that since I updated the NIC's firmware and drivers it seems to be a little more predictable. Roughly every 20 hours.

I have the same server set up on a Dell desktop machine and it works flawlessly. The install on the DL385 with tons of disk space, dual 2.8 ghtz procs, and 2 gigs of mem seems to be a problem.

This server is dedicated to this function and nothing else will be put on it. Yes, it may be a little overkill, but I am setting it up for growth.

Why are you using the Firewall client if all you're using is HTTP, HTTPS and FTP?

What are the settings on the internal and external interfaces of the ISA Firewall?
