I am replacing a d-link "home-router" with an ISA-server. The d-link has a dynamic IP from ISP and does NAT to the internal network. A setup like anyone has at home. Internal DNS-server forwards to the d-link.

I can't figure out how to do this DNS-setup on the ISA-server. I dont want to forward internal DNS directly to ISP, but to the ISA-server. The ISA-server should then use the ISP (dynamic IP-configuration) do resolve DNS....

I'd suggest installing a Windows DNS Server and configure it for caching only. You can either configure static forwarding of DNS requests to your providers DNS server or use the DNS-root server hints for iterative resolving of names.

for ISA..it always uses internal dns
and internal dns forward to any external through ISP.
so as suggested, create internal DNS .
